YOU.

You. Yes, you. I am writing this for you.

I know you are reading this. And I want you to know I am writing this for you. No one else will understand. No one else knows. They think that this is for them. But it’s not. I am writing this for you.

I want you to know, life…it’s hard. Every day can be a challenge. It can be a challenge to get up in the morning. To get yourself out of bed. To put on that smile. But I want you to know, that smile is what keeps me going some days. You need to remember, even through the tough times, you are amazing. You really are.

You should be happy. You are gorgeous.

I know that the weather might not be perfect. You might have to turn your back to the wind or feel the cold nipping at your nose. But you know what, at least you are there to feel it. At least you can enjoy the sun’s warm rays on your face. Or that cold February wind biting at your cheeks. You know what that means?

You are alive.

Everything will be okay.

**Reblogged from over here. And I echo every word. Sometimes we get so down on ourselves, we don't have this, we don't have that, this boy isn't paying attention to me, I'm bored, I don't like my appearance, I'm not loved, etc etc etc. Well guess what?
1. You are alive.
2. You are loved.
3. You have the ability to dream and discover.
4. You ARE gorgeous. and
5. You matter.
Really, its all true. So put a smile on your face, and laugh.
"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover."
-Mark Twain

Easter fun

Easter.
John 3:16 states: “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
Not only did Christ die for us, and endure all the pain in the world for us, but he also lives for us. He lives! I know that my Redeemer lives.
He is our Savior, Our comforter, our protector, the King of kings, Lord of lords, He is the Prince of Peace, our brother.
I am so thankful for Him and the hope He has given us with the atonement. I know that He will always be there for me, for anyone who needs Him.
My Easter was beautiful. I was able to eat breakfast with my family- oh how thankful I am for them. They are the greatest!
Then I headed down to the city of Layton with two of the sweetest men I've ever met:

This is Matt and Chance. Have I talked about them on here before? I don't think so...welll...

Look how stylish they are!
Matt is a sweetheart. He cares so much about everyone, and knows just how to make you feel loved and appreciated. He's also super duper smart!! Really. He's majoring in nutrition and is going to make it big someday soon, I have no doubt in that. Also, I love to listen to him talk. I could do it all day long! He has the best stories and he just makes me laugh so hard. He studies so hard and his work-ethic is fantastic- but he also knows how to have fun. Plus, he's charming. Seriously. Its like he stepped out of a Jane Austen book, you can't help but love him.

He is also part tree-monkey:
We went to his beautiful home in Layton, and his backyard was so picturesque. Green grass, gorgeous tree's, a fun stream.

There were these pretty little flowers growing all over. And Matt being the cutie that he is, put some in my hair. He's got an eye, yes he does.

After exploring his backyard, we went inside and helped Matts' dad prepare Easter dinner. He made a delicious salmon, it was so good! Then he surprised us with some cupcakes from "The Sweet Tooth Fairy Bakery". Quite a mouthful, eh? So delicious.
And then there was Chance. He's...well, he's awkward and silly and hilarious and lovable and an a cutie pie to the core. He loves his Oregon Ducks, is a recent convert (baptized two months after me!), has a passion for reading and musicals, and knows how to get anything out of me. Punk. But...he's also one of the cutest young men you'll ever met. If you don't know him, meet him. You'll be drawn in so fast by his quirky humor and loving personality that you won't even know what happened. All you'll know is you want to hug him.

I love this picture above...Chance was overeager in eating his cupcake...but mine was delicious! We finished our Easter with a couple rounds of "just dance" on the wii...those boys are dancing machines! And ended watching "the kings speech". If you haven't seen it, go. Its amazing, and its a true story! Incredible.
That was my Easter day. I hope yours was just as great!
Oh and this week is finals. I refuse to pent about them in this blog post. But good luck to you all, we've almost made it to summer! Hang in there:)

P.S. On this day, I'm thankful for SPANISH BRANCHES.

Life in a Taylor Swift song.

I wish I lived in a Taylor Swift song.
Seriously. If I had any of these wonderful boys in my life, I would be one incredibly happy dame. As it turns out, I'm still looking for love.
Wait, let me take that back. I do live in Taylor Swift songs, just the wrong ones:

You Belong with me
"Dreaming about the day when you wake up and find that what you're looking for has been here the whole time. If you could see that I'm the one who understands you, so why can't you see....You belong with me."
Yep, you. Thats right, YOU. Really. I'm not kidding. Get with the program, LOVE ME.

As it turns out, my life likes to ignore the following songs, thus giving me no boy and no happy dancing.

Exhibits A-Z.

Jump then fall:
"He's close to my mother, talks business with my father. He's charming and endearing and I'm comfortable..."
Men, we women like a gentleman. Someone who will bring us flowers and hold the door for us and pull out our chairs and ask about our days and remember details and be just plain cute.

Love Story
"Marry me, Juliet you'll never have to be alone, I love you and thats all I need to know."
Proclaim your love. It doesn't have to be anything fancy at all...just let us know you care and that you'll be there.

Mary's song
"I was seven and you were nine, I looked at you like the stars that shined, in the sky, the pretty lights" Make, live, share memories.

Crazier
"I was trying to fly but I couldn't find wings, you opened my eyes and you made me believe. You lift my feet off the ground, spin me around."
Encourage us. Help us believe.

Today was a Fairytale
"Time slows down...whenever you're around. Can you feel this magic in the air, must have been the way you kissed me. It must have been the way, today was a fairy tale."
Make everyday a fairytale. Make us feel that magic that you have with you. Show us your inner prince. Show us our inner princess.

Enchanted
"This night is sparkling, don't you let it go. I'm wonderstruck, blushing all the way home. This night is flawless, I'm wonderstruck, dancing around all alone."
You amaze us! You inspire us! We think you are the best that has ever happened! So please, please don't let us down. Keep us dancing and blushing until we're old. That will definitely make us verrry happy.

Oh well...One day i'll be married. And that love will be even more enchanting, more amazing, more awe-inspiring than any Taylor Swift song. Bring it.

P.S. On this day, I am thankful for TREE'S! Happy earth day everyone.

Sparks Fly

The way you move is like a full on rainstorm
And I'm a house of cards
You're the kind of reckless that should send me running
But I kinda know that I won’t get far

And you stood there in front of me just
Close enough to touch
Close enough to hope you couldn't see
What I was thinking of

Drop everything now
Meet me in the pouring rain
Kiss me on the sidewalk
Take away the pain
'Cause I see, sparks fly whenever you smile
Get me with those green eyes, baby
As the lights go down
Something that'll haunt me when you're not around
'Cause I see, sparks fly whenever you smile

My mind forgets to remind me you’re a bad idea
You touch me once and it’s really something
You find I’m even better than you imagined I would be
I’m on my guard for the rest of the world
But with you I know it’s no good
And I could wait patiently but I really wish you would

Drop everything now
Meet me in the pouring rain
Kiss me on the sidewalk
Take away the pain
Cause I see, sparks fly whenever you smile
Get me with those green eyes, baby
As the lights go down
Give me something that'll haunt me when you're not around
Cause I see, sparks fly whenever you smile

I run my fingers through your hair
And watch the lights go wild
Just keep on keeping your eyes on me
It’s just strong enough to make it feel right
And lead me up the staircase
Won't you whisper soft and slow
I’m captivated by you baby
Like a fireworks show

Drop everything now
Meet me in the pouring rain
Kiss me on the sidewalk
Take away the pain
Cause I see, sparks fly whenever you smile
Get me with those green eyes, baby
As the lights go down
Give me something that'll haunt me when you're not around
Cause I see, sparks fly whenever you smile

P.S. If you haven't noticed, I'm kind of a bit of a T-Swift fan. Deal with it:)
P.P.S. On this day, I'm thankful for TESTIMONIES.

I'm going to let you all in on a little secret.

Frustrations and Distractions/

Hello.
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
That is my frustration with BOYS. Please, can I just become a nun? Or an old maid that lives in a shoe. With a million cats. And a shot gun. Or maybe I can just travel the world...but a place is only as good as the people in it, right. Sigh.
Why must I have the worst luck when it comes to men?
Anyway. I need a distraction,
Oh, hello distraction.

Here's the lowdown: you must write out your answers so your readers can see your actual handwriting.

Las preguntas, the questions, as questões:
1. what's your name and blogger name?
2. what's your blog's URL?
3. Write, "The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog."
4. Favorite quote?
5. Favorite song?
6. Favorite band/singers?
7. Anything else you want to say?
8. Tag bloggers to participate.

And I tagged these lovely ladies:
Miss Mollie at Meandering with Mollie (She's a cutie pie, her handwriting has to be super unique and awesome)
Jill at Just Jill (Jill is from Texas...maybe her penmanship is different. Plus she's a red head! Which means her handwriting will be the best)
Mariana at Mariana (Just because Mariana has the most girlie and cute handwriting known to man.)
Katie at Life According to Me (We need a break from the girlie handwriting..plus I just love her.)
and Audrey at This Is Me (Audrey is the epitome of classy. Can't wait to see her handwriting!)

P.S. On this day, I'm thankful for A.D.D.!

Herc.

Today, I will tell you about my perfect man.
He will have great genetics:
Red hair.
Sparkling, blue eyes.
Killer smile.
(When he smiles, the girls go wild with oooooh's and ahhh's.)

He will have super strength:
Puts the glad in gladiator.
Undefeated.
Rippling pectorals.
Able to lift giant boulders.
(Jeepers mister you're realllly strong!)

He will be on the awkward side.
Thinks he's a ladies man.
But is really clueless about women.

He will have great means of transportation.
Isn't afraid of heights.
Or flying, for that matter.

He'll be a hopeless romantic.
Bring me flowers.
Plays hookie with me.

He will be my knight in shining armor.
Willing to give up his strength, for the love of his life. (me!)
Rescues me from evil centaurs.
Trades his life in order to keep mine safe.

Oh Herc, one day you'll come along and rescue me, be my hero.

"For a true hero isn't measured by the size of his strength, but by the strength of his heart."

Yodale--ee-hoo.

I've been bugged by my wonderful friends from work to update my blog. So this is for you ladies, enjoy.

My day has been spent with a box of tissues, cough drops, and the remote. I left for a bit of time to attend my social work class- attendance is crucial- and to take an exam in my FCHD class. Then immediately came home to cuddle with my blanket and watch chick flicks. A big shout out to these movies for keeping me company today:

I guess you could say I was in a mood to be sad and cry, because oh boy these movies sure do that to you.

This week: IT SNOWED! It was a winter wonderland, and weirdly enough, I love it:)
This weekend: I went on two dates that are definitely in my top five favorite dates ever. Let me explain.
Date one: Childs play. We made pizza, played card games, built a blanket fort, had a marshmellow/oreo fight and played the hilarious game of klum-z, all without ever stopping our laughter. My date was the ever-handsome Duke Papworth, otherwise known as Dukey, Dukester, Dukeinator, Duke Duke:
He is a hoot! And the rest of our group was just FABULOUS:
Keri took Riley Potter, and Staci took Sean Wright. Great people. Seriously, we laughed SO MUCH and our chemistry together was just astounding.

Date number two: Adventure in the City of Salty Lakes.
We drove to the Gateway to pick up Matt's date, Elora, and first things first: walked like 13 miles trying to get to our destination: The Grand America Hotel (cue the violins)
Seriously. This place looked like it belong in the Titanic, with its HUGE ballrooms and fancy decorations; its was beautifully picturesque. We ran around and explored- and as weird as it sounds, it was SO FUN.
Welcome to the ministry of magic, feel free to apparate at your own convenience.

Looks like a scene of out Titanic huh? Its kind of eerie.

The gardens were majestic. Thats all i'm going to say. Anyway. Like I said, Mateo took Elora who is just gorgeous and hilarious and from BYU, and I went with Chancey. We ended the day with some delicious food and great company at Z'Tejas Southwestern Grill, and it was just yuuuummy! And thus ended the day with a drive back home to good ol Logan.

P.S. Today I am thankful for COLD MEDICINE.
