happy happy happy!

I'm going to let you all in on a little secret.
So you know how my last post was basically rantings about dumb boys?
I take it all back. All of it. Why you may ask?
Because I said to myself, 'Self, you're being mean. Stop it. You've had a wonderful week full of wonderful friends and wonderful memories and now you're home to a wonderful family and wonderful friends and wonderful classes. Your life rocks!'
So here I am with the posts of happy posts. Okay maybe not THE post of happy posts, but definitely happy. Wahoo!!!
I have no words to express how I'm feeling so now I'm going to attack your sense of vision with pictures as to why I'm so happy!

Day 10- A Picture of someone you see yourself married to

No big deal, this is my boyfriend. His name is Beautiful, he's charming, sweet, nice, honest, humble. He plays the guitar and sings for me every week. And his dream is to get sealed in the Logan Temple. Okay okay, so he's not my boyfriend. I don't even know him, but he is super good looking. And hey, a girl can dream, can't I? :)
Okay really. Here is the true picture of someone I want to be married to:

No, I don't know them. I figured it would be awkward to put a picture of someone I really know, so these two missionaries were found on the good ol google and I do not know them. Although if some of you readers do...well..thats awkward.
Anyway, I don't know who I will marry. And I know there isn't just one out there for me, there are many. The question is: who is he and when is he coming into my life. Maybe he's already in my life! Maybe I just met him! Maybe he's on a mission! Ah I don't know. But I do know this: I want to be married in the Temple. :)

Day 09 – A picture of the person who has gotten you through the most

Oh my. These are all so hard! But for this one, I will have to say Mr. Ryan Lambert,
AKA Elder Lambert.

I can't even begin to explain how much this young man has gotten me through. He's been there for everything!

Ever since our friendship in the 7th grade, he has been there.

From all of those petty middle school heart breaks,

rantings about being in love during high school,

stressful assignments that threatened to ruin my life,

just plain providing me with entertainment at any moment,

taking me by the hand through the good and the bad,

being a missionary when I most needed it,

the break downs of the stress involving college and big life choices,

and providing exactly what I needed, being my best friend throughout the toughest times of my life. He's a constant in my life.
He's my brother, he's my friend. And....he's on a mission! I love Ryan, and I know he will bless many more people in his life.

One. Whole. Year.

Once upon a time there was a girl.
She was happy, bubbly, excited, optimistic, antsy, worriesome, caring, and very friendly. She thought life was going great! Until one day she realized that she was missing something. There was a chunk missing somewhere inside of her, so she went on the quest to find it, to find herself. And guess what? She found it.

Guess what else? That was one whole year ago on Sunday. :) This year has been full of ups and down, it has been both the happiest year of my life, but also the toughest. I have gained and stregthened my testimony, and I will keep building it. I have discovered forgiveness and the amazing power of the Atonement, and used it in my own life. I have built a firm relationship with my God, my Heavenly Father, and His beloved son, the Lord Jesus Christ. I have loved my family, friends, and everyone who surrounds me deeper and stronger than ever before. I have grown to love, respect, and follow the counsel of the Prophets of old, along with the Prophet Thomas S. Monson, and his apostles. I have visited the Logan temple, and find myself wanting to spend more and more time there. I have marveled at the miracles and tender mercies that I am blessed enough to recieve, for they are infinite and come from my Heavenly Father. I am a witness to missionary work, and the courage, strength, love, and humility that come from partaking.

"The gospel is the good news of Christ. It is the revelation that the Son of God came to earth, lived a perfect life, atoned for our sins, and conquered death. It is the path of salvation, the way of hope and joy, and the assurance that God has a plan of redemption and happiness for His children.

The gospel is the way of discipleship. As we walk in that way, we can experience confidence and joy—even during times of peril, sorrow, and uncertainty." -President Uchtdorf

I love the Church. I am so thankful to be apart of something so great, so inspirational, so beautiful, and so true.

This weekend I was able to be a part of a 1100+ people institute choir! It was such a blessing to attend and provide music for the fireside that Elder Ballard spoke at. He is truly inspired and called of God to guide us.

Oh, and my friend Mikey leaves for his mission TOMORROW! The people of Des Moise, Iowa sure are in for the greatest blessing of their lives, for Elder Morales will be coming to them in about three weeks. Mikey has taught me so much, I don't even think he realizes how great of an influence he is to those around him. He see's beauty in everything, and he simply loves his family. He is so full of joy and happiness, and it is contagious. He's loyal to his family and friends. He's very humble and helpful. He who comes from Minnesota, being the only member of the church at his school. But that has only strengthened him! He is so strong and firm in the gospel, and his testimony is unwavering. He is an incredible young man full of spirit and light, and he will be an amazing missionary. The people of Iowa will love him.

I just love missionary work. Those that choose to leave their family, their friends, their school, their lives and homes, to go serve the Lord for 18-24 months are the most faithful members. I look up to them for their courage and faith in the gospel, those who choose to spread the good word.

''Wherefore, be not weary in well-doing, for ye are laying the foundation of a gerat work. And out of small things proceedeth that which is great.''- D&C 64;33.

A Eventful Week

Hello dear friends.

First of all, my BEST FRIEND Kaitlyn Barnard came up for the weekend to visit from Southern Utah! I had a blast with her, she just cracks me up and my family looooves her.

Miss Victoria Nye's bridal shower.
It was the first of many showers that I anticipate:) Tori will be a great bride, wife, and mother, we are so excited for her!

True Aggie night.
We may or may not have showed up just to watch and oggle...but we're firm in saying we were only there to take a picture of our friends, Tanner and Rachel. (Who are the cutest couple ever. Really!)

Ian Haderlie's farewell and departure.
This young man has been my best friend for yeeears on end. I am so proud of the decisions he has made in his life, and to see him grow and become stronger both spiritually and mentally, has been an honor.

Piñatas.
We tried, anyway. We were aiming for Mickey Mouse...but...it didn't really work. It was fun though, these kids make me giggle.

Wednesday....Arby's Jr. Chocolate Shake and flowers.
Enough said.

HALLOWEEN!!!!
Oh gosh how I love this celebration. Candy and dressing up, how much better can it get? Loooooove it. And this year was just great, we went to a dinner / picture scavenger hunt / scary movie party and it was so so much fun.

And today was fast and testimony Sunday!! My favorite days of the month! My bishopric and stake presidency members are amazing. It has been a great week, and I just loooooooooove my friends and family and ward members.
I have been strengthening my testimony in love this past week. To love my family, to love my friends, to love my neighbor and fellow man, to love myself, and to love my Heavenly Father and His beloved son, Jesus Christ.

"Because love is the great commandment, it ought to be at the center of all and everything we do in our own family, in our Church callings, and in our livelihood. Love is the healing balm that repairs rifts in personal and family relationships. It is the bond that unites families, communities, and nations. Love is the power that initiates friendship, tolerance, civility, and respect. It is the source that overcomes divisiveness and hate. Love is the fire that warms our lives with unparalleled joy and diving hope. Love should be our walk and our talk."
- President Uchtdorf
