Easter fun

Easter.
John 3:16 states: “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
Not only did Christ die for us, and endure all the pain in the world for us, but he also lives for us. He lives! I know that my Redeemer lives.
He is our Savior, Our comforter, our protector, the King of kings, Lord of lords, He is the Prince of Peace, our brother.
I am so thankful for Him and the hope He has given us with the atonement. I know that He will always be there for me, for anyone who needs Him.
My Easter was beautiful. I was able to eat breakfast with my family- oh how thankful I am for them. They are the greatest!
Then I headed down to the city of Layton with two of the sweetest men I've ever met:

This is Matt and Chance. Have I talked about them on here before? I don't think so...welll...

Look how stylish they are!
Matt is a sweetheart. He cares so much about everyone, and knows just how to make you feel loved and appreciated. He's also super duper smart!! Really. He's majoring in nutrition and is going to make it big someday soon, I have no doubt in that. Also, I love to listen to him talk. I could do it all day long! He has the best stories and he just makes me laugh so hard. He studies so hard and his work-ethic is fantastic- but he also knows how to have fun. Plus, he's charming. Seriously. Its like he stepped out of a Jane Austen book, you can't help but love him.

He is also part tree-monkey:
We went to his beautiful home in Layton, and his backyard was so picturesque. Green grass, gorgeous tree's, a fun stream.

There were these pretty little flowers growing all over. And Matt being the cutie that he is, put some in my hair. He's got an eye, yes he does.

After exploring his backyard, we went inside and helped Matts' dad prepare Easter dinner. He made a delicious salmon, it was so good! Then he surprised us with some cupcakes from "The Sweet Tooth Fairy Bakery". Quite a mouthful, eh? So delicious.
And then there was Chance. He's...well, he's awkward and silly and hilarious and lovable and an a cutie pie to the core. He loves his Oregon Ducks, is a recent convert (baptized two months after me!), has a passion for reading and musicals, and knows how to get anything out of me. Punk. But...he's also one of the cutest young men you'll ever met. If you don't know him, meet him. You'll be drawn in so fast by his quirky humor and loving personality that you won't even know what happened. All you'll know is you want to hug him.

I love this picture above...Chance was overeager in eating his cupcake...but mine was delicious! We finished our Easter with a couple rounds of "just dance" on the wii...those boys are dancing machines! And ended watching "the kings speech". If you haven't seen it, go. Its amazing, and its a true story! Incredible.
That was my Easter day. I hope yours was just as great!
Oh and this week is finals. I refuse to pent about them in this blog post. But good luck to you all, we've almost made it to summer! Hang in there:)

P.S. On this day, I'm thankful for SPANISH BRANCHES.
